Next Bazaar at Toast Collective!

On the Saturday before Mother's Day we are excited that the next I Heart Crafts Bazaar is going to be at the Toast Collective - if you haven't been to this neighborhood at Kingsway and Fraser lately it is becomming a very interesting intersection. Several neat little businesses have popped up here in the last couple years: including a lovely french bistro called Les Faux Bourgeois, Erin Bonifero's shop Collage Collage, a new "sewing lounge" called Spool of Thread that will be open by then and the awesome arts and craft supply shop Ruby Dog. Come spend the day, have lunch and explore.

I am trying a new location mostly because I wanted a venue that is wheel chair accessible! The WISE hall will also hold a larger number of venders and is just a couple blocks off Commercial drive - should be good! Ok here's the deal with accessibility, It's a bit odd but the building does have a wheelchair accessible bathroom in the basement, and you can get to it via a ramp from outside, around back. However the hall where the bazaar is, is on the main floor which is up about 6 outdoor steps, it has a strong metal railing. The aisles between rows at the bazaar will be plenty wide for manuvering, and there are lots of chairs available if you need to take a break.

What a wonderful day! The winter bazaar was a great success - we had lots of people through and every thing looked so beautiful. Sadly my camera died after one photo - I really had my heart set on showing off how great it all looked , so a friend went to get me new batteries and those didn't work either. So this is it.
Plans are in the works for a valentines bazaar....

It's going to be a really lovely day! I have fantastic vendors coming, DJ Ruggedly Hansome is making mixed CDs for the day as well selling her wares. My wonderful partner Soula is making delicious treats for the conncession.

Hi,
I've just started organizing the 2nd I Heart Crafts Bazaar, that will be held at the legion on commercial drive, in East Vancouver on September 23rd - from 11am til 5pm. Here are some crappy pictures of some beautiful crafty crafters from the 1st I Heart Crafts that happened this past spring -it was really fun and I am excited to do it again!
